She bent down and picked up Ollie from his seat. She petted the top of his head, and gave him a scratch behind the ear. He was in heaven. When they reached the front of the plane, the flight attendant pulled back the curtain.
"Excuse me Captain, we have a special guest," she said. "I'll see you later, OK? I've got to serve some more drinks."
"Well, hello there! I'm Captain Perkins. It's nice to finally meet you."
"Hello," Ollie said shyly. "My name, my name is Ollie. Ollie the Omni Cat. It's nice to meet you, too."
Ollie could not keep his eyes from looking at everything in the cockpit. There was so much stuff to look at. He saw button after button and knob after knob. Out of the windshield, he saw the bluest skies and clouds that looked like giant cotton balls.
"Man, this is so neat! But I don't think I could ever learn which buttons to press."
"Well," said the pilot. "How 'bout you leave that up to me, you just need to tell me where to go."
"Excuse me?" Ollie asked.
"Oh . . . I see," Captain Perkins said slowly. "I guess the flight attendant didn't tell you about those wings."
"No, sir. She just gave them to me and smiled."
